Background

Tony EdwardsI have been a Professional Accountant since 1975. I commenced my career in the Brisbane office of the international accounting firm Price Waterhouse in 1975 after studying for my Bachelor of Business degree at what is now the Central Queensland University.

 

After further study, while working with Price Waterhouse, I gained both my Chartered Accountant and Certified Practicing Accountant Qualifications. I commenced my chartered accounting firm, G A (Tony) Edwards and Co, in Rockhampton in February 1979. I then merged this practice with Robert W. Evans and Co in December 1980 to form Evans Edwards and Associates, Chartered Accountants. 

 

Having grown up on a farming and grazing property at Clermont in Central Queensland, I have a keen interest in all things rural. I live on my Mango Orchard on Rockhampton’s outskirts, and my leisure time is taken up with family, fitness, friends, sports, boating and fishing.  

Expertise 

I advise and act for clients in the Primary Production, Tourism, Retail, Manufacturing, Contracting, Transport and Service Industries as well as the Professions. My areas of expertise cover Taxation, Business Management, Business Growth, Business Structures, Wealth Creation, Asset Protection and Succession.
